I have several goals to set for the upcoming month and ideas that I want to bring to life. I’m a very driven person who likes to have everything in order and wants things to happen right away. Once I have my mind set on something, I'm going to get it!
Taking a few days here and there to step back and relax made me realize that not everything can happen or should happen in the blink of an eye. The things people don’t see, boring days, challenges, that are what make you come out better. The tone for November is to start making the most out of shorter days and to romanticize everything. Having events to look forward to, or making little things something to be excited about. Someone recently told me to invest in yourself. I needed to hear that because it made me take a step back and think, 'Am I doing things for others or myself?' With the start of shorter days and colder months, it’s essential to take care of yourself. Deep cleaning your space, staying in on weekends, skincare, mood-boarding, etc. Engage in creative and productive activities to boost your motivation. Happy November, and let's get excited for this upcoming Holiday season:) -P

My two passions are interiors and fashion. I often find inspiration in interior design that I incorporate into my wardrobe, and I also draw from fashion trends to enhance my living spaces.
My favorite season is here! I love every aspect of fall. The color palettes, the cozy interiors people create, and the fashion all bring me joy. I appreciate being comfortable, and the combination of chilly weather and sunshine makes everything so much better.
I feel like it’s time for an update on what I've been up to! It may seem like all I do is go downtown, drink wine, and take pictures of myself, which is true to some extent. However, I've been really trying to keep up with my website and social media postings.
Now that I have classes during the week, I'm starting to get back into the swing of things. I’m really enjoying this semester's classes! They are pushing my creativity to the test and encouraging me to think outside the box. While I feel challenged, it's in a good way, and I'm truly enjoying the process. One area I’m especially proud of is that I’m re-teaching myself how to navigate the Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop and InDesign. This is taking my projects to the next level, and I feel really proud of my progress. Anyway, I’ve found so much joy in posting on my website, on Substack, and TikTok! Here are some images from my camera roll! I'm really excited about some current home trends that have caught my eye! After spending hours scrolling through Pinterest and with the fall semester kicking off, my creativity has returned in full force. Here are a few trends I'm particularly loving right now!
June was an incredible month for interior design, fashion, and achieving a better work-life balance! It started with Design Days at the beginning of the month, followed by a trip up North that inspired me with the concept of slow living and the joy of appreciating the moment. Summer awakens people from their winter blues, bringing renewed energy. Now that it’s the first week of July, I felt it was the perfect time to share my must-haves from June and what I’m continuing into July!

Picking a theme for the party is always the tricky part. You have so many ideas and pins on your Pinterest board that you want to recreate, but sticking to a few inspirational pictures to help you find and set the tone for the party is all you need. You also don't need to go all out for the theme; it can be a subtle accent around the house that ties the party together. A signature cocktail, specific cuisine, or table decor for a dinner party. 1.Theme and Guest List: Start with a theme that reflects the occasion or season. Once you have a theme, create a guest list that complements the atmosphere you want to create.
2.Invitations: Send out invitations that match your theme. Whether digital or printed, they should provide all essential details like date, time, dress code, and RSVP information. 3.Menu Planning: Choose a menu that suits your guests' dietary preferences. Aim for a balance of appetizers, main courses, and desserts. Don’t forget to include vegetarian or gluten-free options if needed. 4.Beverage Selection: Pair drinks with your menu. Offer a signature cocktail, wine pairings, or a variety of non-alcoholic options to cater to different tastes. 5. Table Setting: Create an inviting table setting that reflects your theme. Use nice dinnerware, elegant glassware, and thoughtful centerpieces to enhance the atmosphere. 6.Lighting and Ambiance: Set the mood with appropriate lighting. Use candles, string lights, or dimmed overhead lights to create a warm and welcoming environment. 7.Music Playlist: Curate a playlist that complements the theme and sets the tone for the evening. Keep the volume at a level where guests can comfortably converse. 8.Timing: Plan the timing of each course to keep the flow smooth. Allow enough time for appetizers before the main course, and finish with a leisurely dessert. 9.Engage Your Guests: As the host, be attentive and engage with your guests. Introduce people to each other and facilitate conversations to keep the atmosphere lively. 10.Personal Touches: Consider adding personal touches, such as handwritten place cards or small favors for guests to take home, to make the evening more memorable. By keeping these elements in mind, you’ll create an enjoyable and memorable experience for your guests! |
