Holiday Finishing Touches

With Christmas less than a week away, what better way to inspire ideas for some finishing touches to your Christmas decor! For Christmas decorations, I believe it's better to focus on winter vibes rather than just the Christmas theme. You can keep them past December and carry them through January. Focus more on fresh evergreen plants and make your space feel more cozy during the cold months. I've been really into handmade Garlands and incorporating natural elements into the home as decoration pieces.

​Fresh Garland

A fresh garland is always a great idea for the holidays. There are countless ways to incorporate it into your home. You can wrap it around your stair railing, hang it above windows, adorn your fireplace, decorate your front door, or place it above the stovetop in the kitchen.
TIP: Measure the space where you want to place the garland and add a couple more inches than needed so it can equally "fall" on each side.  

Ribbon

Incorporating ribbons or bows into various areas or on objects that could benefit from a touch of seasonal charm is a simple yet effective way to elevate the holiday atmosphere. Whether draping a luxurious satin ribbon around a wreath, tying cheerful bows on gift packages, or adorning banisters and mantels, these embellishments add a festive flair.
TIP: By choosing colors and patterns that reflect the holiday theme, such as rich reds, greens, or sparkly golds, you can create a warm and inviting ambiance that truly transforms the space and enchants your guests. 

Handmade Decorations

You can host a girls' night and create handmade Christmas decorations together. Everyone should bring fabric or ribbons and have fun getting creative!

Setting the Table

Setting the table for holidays or dinner parties is one of my favorite pastimes. There's a unique joy in transforming a simple dining space into a warm and inviting atmosphere where friends and family can come together to share a meal. I love to let my creativity shine during this process, exploring various themes and styles that reflect the occasion.

The possibilities are endless when it comes to table setting. For instance, I might choose a stunning centerpiece made of seasonal flowers, adding height and color to the arrangement, or I could opt for an eclectic mix of plates, each with its own personality, placed at each seat to spark conversation. 

Incorporating natural elements like dried fruit as decoration can also bring a rustic charm to the table. Imagine the vibrant hues of dried oranges, figs, or apple slices artfully scattered or arranged in small bowls, complementing the overall color scheme of the setting. Every detail, from the choice of table linens to the type of cutlery, plays a role in creating an inviting space that encourages connection and joy among guests.
