I'm really excited about some current home trends that have caught my eye! After spending hours scrolling through Pinterest and with the fall semester kicking off, my creativity has returned in full force. Here are a few trends I'm particularly loving right now!

The Transition from Floor Tiles to Wood Floors

​I have a great appreciation for the artistry involved in placing tile on the floor. There's something special about having a section of floor tile in a house; when designed well, it can elevate the overall style of your home. A unique tile design adds character and often sparks conversation.

Vintage Pieces in a Home

​Incorporating vintage furniture into your home can create a more inviting and lived-in atmosphere. These pieces, having been used before you, carry their history and charm, making them more special than something new bought off the shelf. For example, adding a reclaimed door gives your home a rustic touch, while collecting old paintings can fill your walls with character. Sourcing vintage chairs that have been passed down through generations can also add a unique flair.

​Formal Living Rooms

A formal living room is characterized by the absence of a television, creating a sophisticated space for conversation and relaxation. Having Sofas face each other for an intimate conversation or perfect lighting in the living room can also set the vibe in a room. 

​Wall Sconces  

​I love that wall sconces are making a comeback in interior design. They provide an elegant way to illuminate various spaces, whether above a nightstand or in a hallway. With a wide variety of styles and sizes available, there is a perfect wall sconce for everyone’s home.

​Limewash Walls 

When I see a limewash wall in someone’s home, I immediately recognize their good taste. This technique offers a subtle way to create an accent wall without overwhelming the space. Typically, limewash is applied in neutral colors, enhancing the ambiance without being intrusive.
