A topic I'm passionate about is maintaining the character and charm of your home. Every home tells a story and has experienced multiple lives before you arrive. 

Whether you're moving into a new home or building one from scratch, try to avoid falling into the trap of an all-white aesthetic. Instead, take some risks when designing your space. Here are some quick tips to help you get started:

1. Don't be afraid to mix colors and textures.
2. Incorporate an accent color on a wall that needs a focal point.
3. Use wood in various forms—wooden tables, mixed wood finishes, wood doors, wood floors, and wood furniture.
4. Consider unique flooring options. Various floor tiles and patterns can dramatically transform a space.
5. Add little details throughout your home to enhance its character.
6. Invest in elevated window coverings to add a touch of elegance.
7. Switch out your hardware, such as door knobs, light switches, and handles, for a fresh look.
